Lethbridge, AB

Mackay Equipment Sales Ltd. is currently looking for a Full-Time Sales Manager for our Lethbridge, AB location. The successful candidate should excel in customer service, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and a have positive “can do” attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Develop and execute area sales plans that include specific targets, strategies and tactics
•    Identify new sales opportunities
•    Establish and maintain a high level of  rapport with customers, new and existing 
•    Respond to general inquiries from customers, connecting them with other internal team members to address any issues that may arise
•    Achieve revenue and profit targets for assigned area
•    Negotiate sales terms and agreements
•    Contribute to the overall success of the company by increasing revenue and profit from new and existing customers
•    Generate new business through networking, following up on leads from marketing activities (including Trade Shows) and making cold calls. Customer contact will be face to face, via telephone and email
•    Attend industry association meetings
•    Prepare and submit an annual business plan with quarterly and annual sales targets

Required Qualifications:

•    Degree or Diploma in Business Agriculture, would be an asset 
•    Previous experience in sales or account management, preferably in and agribusiness
•    Previous experience in an agricultural environment would be an asset, with solid understanding of farming practices and agritech – or a combination of education and work experience
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
•    Proven computer skills including MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced level
•    Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
•    Valid Class 5 Drivers License, with a recent and clear abstract (five years) and the ability to be insured
•    Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training

Schedule: 

•    Full-Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm with the ability to work overtime when required, travel 75-80% of the time, and comfortable with driving rural roads

Mackay Equipment Sales Ltd. is currently looking for a Full-Time General Labourer for our Saskatoon location. The successful candidate should excel in customer service, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and a have positive “can do” attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Works safely in an agricultural environment and follows all procedures and policies that are in place
•    Prepares project equipment under the direction of the Senior Technician 
•    Supports daily operations through manual labour, including operating equipment, loading and unloading of miscellaneous supplies and equipment, and light maintenance
•    Completes yard work around the property at Head Office in Saskatoon
•    Ability to follow plans and drawings
•    Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work site
•    Ensure quality of work meets or exceeds expectations
•    Ensure all tools assigned are cleaned, stored and maintained properly


Required Qualifications:

•    Successful completion of Grade 10
•    Valid Class 5 Drivers License, with a recent and clear abstract (five years) and the ability to be insured
•    Previous experience in an agricultural environment would be an asset
•    Experience with power tools and equipment.

Service Technicians
Saskatoon - SK and Lethbridge, AB

Mackay Equipment Sales Ltd. is currently looking for Full-Time Service Technicians. One based out of our Head Office in Saskatoon, SK and one working out of our satellite location in Lethbridge, AB. The successful candidates should excel in customer service, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and a have positive “can do” attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Providing technical advice and solutions to all customers supported by Mackay Equipment
•    Cultivating customer relationships by providing timely, sound, and expert advice 
•    Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for customers, in line with current electrical code and provincial standards
•    The ability to analyze data and trends when working to solving customer issues
•    The capability to install, maintain, and set up climate and product controllers
•    Sets up IP based networks, with ethernet and radios as well as troubleshooting them
•    Working with analogue and input controls
•    Tracks inventory usage when completing service calls and projects and advises H.O. warehouse for control purposes
•    Assemble data special reports as required by Head Office
•    Acts as an ambassador and advocate for animal safety and well-being
•    Other technical support and projects as assigned and required

Required Qualifications:

•    Successful completion of Grade 12
•    Successful completion with journeyman status from an accredited institution as an electrician and/or as an instrumentation and control    technician
•    Solid understanding and knowledge of Relay Logic
•    Ability to remain calm and focussed in high pressure and often time sensitive, critical situations
•    Intermediate level of computer literacy and familiarity with Android and IOS operating systems
•    Ability to use and manage basic hand tools, such as drills and band saws
•    Professional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds
•    Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
•    Above average organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
•    Ability to identify areas for improvement and contribute potential solutions
•    Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
